Training for Organisations and Parents

Parent Workshop – Nurturing Our Children’s’ Mental Health

Are there times where you have felt like the worst parent in the world?

There is no definitive rulebook for parenting and certainly none for how to grow from childhood into a happy, well adjusted adult. At worst, difficult relationships between parents and children can lead to emotional distance, mental ill health and coping mechanisms such as drugs and alcohol.

In this interactive, one-hour workshop we will explore:

  • What mental health means and why it is important
  • Influences on mental health and wellbeing
  • Stress – what it is and what it does
  • Brain development
  • Hints and tips on supporting our children

You will have the opportunity to share experiences with other parents in a non-judgemental and supportive environment.
